Tough call for man of the match. A fantastic spell from Broad but I think Root rescuing England's innings from 91-4 and scoring a hundred on a pitch where only two men have made 50 probably just about edges him ahead.

Of course, this is assuming none of the South African bowlers do something truly extraordinary in the 4th innings.

I honestly don't know . I suspect Broad will get it , as his spell simply ripped the SA team apart .
 
18 wickets in one day on a good pitch, unbelievable stuff. We became favourites to win yesterday with Root's knock, but Broadcwas just brilliant today.

Missing off, missing leg, crashing into the middle of middle. Kyle Abbott is plumber than Plumby McPlumb, winner of last year's Mr Plumb contest on the planet Plumb. Ben Stokes does the trick for England, who will still hope that South Africa can be done for under 400.
