Beautifully restored both externally and internally (above and below) is Pennsylvania Railroad Railway Post Office (RPO) 6563. Built in 1910 and rebuilt as PRR Class BM70M in 1937, the car served into the Penn Central era and was donated to the museum by the Housatonic Railroad.
Landau Colliery near Witbank in South Africa 3-foot 6-inch gauge 2-8-2+2-8-2 Garratt no.1 gets ready to haul a heavy train of coal to the exchange sidings on the mainline in October 1979. Built by Beyer Peacock (6567/1929), this loco was formerly Rhodesia Railways 16th class no.605. It was one of at least six of this type to work in South Africa and was the last in active service.
