Preserved standard gauge Mount Newman Mining Goodwin/ALCO 180 ton, C-636 3,300 hp Co-Co diesel electric No.5499 built in 1971 by Goodwin of Sydney under license from ALCO with a 3,600 hp ALCO 251F 16-cyl engine, later (1990's) derated to 3,300 hp. Withdrawn 1995. A huge locomotive. At the WA Railway Museum, Perth, 4/06.

Ex-Great Central 4-4-0 Class D11/1 No 5504 'Jutland' passes through Braunston & Willoughby on an up parcels service circa 1928. Built as Great Central No 504 by Gorton works in November 1922 No 5504 was officially designated as a Large Director class locomotive. The LNER renumbered the locomotive No 5504 in December 1924 and again as No 2668 in 1946 followed by British Railways allocating No 62668 after nationalisation in 1948 which it carried until November 1960 when it was withdrawn from 41A Darnall shed in Sheffield.
