    Indicative Skill Level:
    Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with the qualifications and experience outlined below.

    In Australia:

    • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

    In New Zealand:

    • NZ Register Level 4 qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

    At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.

    Tasks Include:

3214: The Mindfulness Bay Walk

‘We must always remember that this land is, was and will always be the Wadawurrung Peoples traditional land.’

This walk has been developed as a part of a broader project called ‘Knowing your Place 3214 Active Transport Project’. The City of Greater Geelong facilitates the project and provides local community groups, schools and residents with an opportunity to participate in a range of community based projects.

Working directly with a City project officer, VCAL students from Nelson Park assisted in identifying a route along the Bay Trail, researching the area and developing a series of Mindfulness activities that can be practiced at designated pause spots.

The students were required to conduct a walk audit to assess the walkability of the route.

The learning outcomes of this project have been:

  • skill development in mapping, auditing, presenting

  • increased understanding of concepts of place, walk ability, livability and place attachment

  • increased physical activity by creating a safe attractive active transport network.

Note: This ship should not be confused with the third USS Resolute (SP-1309) or fifth USS Resolute (SP-3003), which were in commission at the same time.

The fourth USS Resolute (SP-3218) was a tug that served in the United States Navy in 1919.

Resolute was built as a wooden-hulled commercial tug in 1906 at Mobile, Alabama. She was ordered purchased from her owner, John Emile Dredging Company of Jacksonville, Florida, on 8 August 1918 for World War I service in the U.S. Navy. The war had ended by the time she was commissioned as USS Resolute (SP-3218) on 14 January 1919 with Chief Boatswain's Mate Hans Peterson in charge.

Resolute performed local patrol and minesweeping duties within the Parris Island, South Carolina, Section Patrol area, operating from Port Royal, South Carolina.

On 31 May 1919, Resolute was transferred to the United States Marine Corps at Parris Island. On 21 April 1920, she was sold to West India Steamship Company of New York City, for which she served through at least 1926. No records are available regarding her operations or fate after 1926.

3222 Stage Trail Race: Results & Reflections

The Trail Adventure 3222 Stage Trail Race tested trail running at altitude under true trail running conditions. The event accommodated all types of competitors – from world-class athletes to those with families looking for a new altitude-based high. This event, proudly hosted by Afriski Mountain Resort, was a resounding success. Despite Trail Adventure having run over 400 events, this was one to remember. With 195 contestants lining up at the start, the competition was fierce.

At the Winner’s Podium
The full 3222 stage trail race covers a distance of 40km over two days. Congratulations to the following top three male contestants:

NGC 3227

NGC 3227 is an intermediate spiral galaxy that is interacting with the dwarf elliptical galaxy NGC 3226. The two galaxies are one of several examples of a spiral with a dwarf elliptical companion that are listed in the Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies. Both galaxies may be found in the constellation Leo.

Sir William Herschel already recognised them as a 'double nebula' and they were jointly listed as Holm 187 in the Catalogue of Double and Multiple Galaxies and as Arp 94 in the Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies. Amateur telescopes can discern them but require magnification of about 100 times. They are situated 50′ east of the well-known double star system Gamma Leonis (i.e. Algieba).

Our Beginnings
The concept of 3230 Smoke + Grill started in 2015 when two mates (Justin and Kerwin) needed their cravings for smoked meats and fresh burgers satisfied.

With the objective to bring good quality food to Cockburn, the journey began with numerous testings along with plenty of tastings (quality control), until finally they decided that they had a product that could sell.
A year and half later on the 12th August 2017, Justin and Kerwin celebrated the opening of 3230 Smoke + Grill in Cockburn… a small boutique restaurant / take away that utilizes local suppliers to provide freshly made wholesome food at an affordable price.
