The battery life on this baby monitor is so bad to the point where you practically have to leave it on the charging port- defeating the wireless purpose. Everything else is OK, but the battery life definitely outweighs any good this monitor has considering I’ve only used it for 3 months.

ISO 3103 is a standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (commonly referred to as ISO), specifying a standardized method for brewing tea, possibly sampled by the standardized methods described in ISO 1839. It was originally laid down in 1980 as BS 6008:1980 by the British Standards Institution. It was produced by ISO Technical Committee 34 (Food products), Sub-Committee 8 (Tea).

The abstract states the following:

The method consists in extracting of soluble substances in dried tea leaf, containing in a porcelain or earthenware pot, by means of freshly boiling water, pouring of the liquor into a white porcelain or earthenware bowl, examination of the organoleptic properties of the infused leaf, and of the liquor with or without milk, or both.

This standard is not meant to define the proper method for brewing tea, but rather how to document the tea brewing procedure so sensory comparisons can be made. An example of such a test would be a taste-test to establish which blend of teas to choose for a particular brand or basic label in order to maintain a consistent tasting brewed drink from harvest to harvest.

A revised standard is currently under development as ISO/NP 3103.

The work was the winner of the parodic Ig Nobel Prize for Literature in 1999.

Union Pacific SD40-2C No. 3105
A Brief History Of This Engine
Union Pacific Number 3105 is a model SD40-2C locomotive. The SD40-2 model and its variations were one of the best-selling locomotives manufactured by General Motors, Electro-Motive Division (EMD) at nearly 4,000 units. Because of their reliability, the SD40-2 has been the standard in the freight railroad industry for several decades. Built between 1972 and 1989, SD40-2 locomotives were acquired by 32 railroads in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Africa.

Union Pacific donated No. 3105 to The Railway and Locomotive Historical Society, Southern California Chapter in July 2013, when our organization returned UP 4014 Big Boy steam locomotive to Union Pacific's heritage steam locomotive fleet.

In the fall of 2013, No. 3105 was shopped, cleaned, painted, and inspected in Union Pacific's North Little Rock, Arkansas facility to prepare for arrival at RailGiants. From Arkansas, it was brought to Southern California (via Dallas and El Paso) on several regular freight trains to U.P.'s West Colton, California facility on December 20, 2013, where it received its last 90-day inspection.

No. 3105 arrived at the Fairgrounds on January 26, 2014, along with an insulated boxcar and (former Rock Island Railroad) UPP Number 24567 bay window caboose for the RailGiants' collection.

Union Pacific locomotive No. 3105 arrived at RailGiants Train Museum at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds, Pomona, California, under its own diesel power during ceremonies on February 22, 2014. Number 3105 is still fully operational and is the only SD40-2C locomotive currently on display in any railroad museum. RailGiants' staff operates the locomotive's engine regularly to educate museum visitors about diesel locomotive operations, and to maintain its operational condition.

UP No. 3105 started out as one of 74 SD40-2C locomotives produced for Missouri Pacific Railroad in June 1979. The 'C' designation represents an upgrade designation in the production which included the addition of dynamic brakes and heavier ballasting which gave the locomotives better handling characteristics. This was required for pooling service on Burlington Northern coal trains through the Rocky Mountains. Its original number was MP 6027.

During the 1980's, Missouri Pacific was acquired by Union Pacific. The MP locomotives were repainted in UP's design and colors. MP 6027 was changed to UP 3927 on January 31, 1987. In January 2003, UP renumbered 50 of its locomotives and UP 3927 then changed to UP 3105. This took place at the Alton Southern Railroad yard in East St. Louis. During its working period, this locomotive clocked more than 2,400,000 miles of service.

The 3106 is ready to install with factory fitted integrated high density array (HDA) LEDs. This low voltage up & accent fixture is configured with hi-performance reflector optics, integral drivers, and is constructed of die cast aluminum. These LEDs will be able to deliver comparable light levels in the 20W, 35W, and 50W halogen range (up to 800 lumens) with wattages ranging from 4.5W to 13W. The 3106 will be able to dim using the Vista vPRO electronic transformer and the complete line of Vista transformers. A patent-pending silicone diaphragm gasket allows the fixture to breathe during thermal cycling to prevent moisture from being drawn into the fixture. The door is designed to shed water from the lens surface. A durable polyester powder coat finish is applied and available in 18 colors. The fully adjustable knuckle is made from injection-molded, fiber-reinforced composite which effectively isolates the fixture from the harmful corrosive soil. Mounting hardware is included – choice of ABS ground stake, mounting canopy, or tree-mount canopy.

Locomotive 3112 is a two-cylinder, simple, non-condensing, saturated, coal-fired ‘Baltic’ type, 4-6-4 steam C30 class tank locomotive for the New South Wales Government Railways built in 1914 by Beyer, Peacock and Company.

Built in 1914 by Beyer, Peacock and Company, Manchester, 3112 was one of 145 locomotives of the S636 class of 4-6-4T tank locomotives built specifically to handle the increasing volume of suburban traffic in Sydney, particularly on the steeply graded Northern, North Shore and Illawarra lines. The S636 class was later reclassified as the C30 class in 1924 and given new running numbers in the 30xx series.

Following the electrification of the Sydney suburban network, 77 of the C30 class locomotives, were converted into C30T 4-6-0 tender locomotives between 1928 and 1933 and which were used to replace older and largely obsolete locomotives then working on the lightly-laid country branch lines throughout New South Wales. The remaining 68 engines not converted were used on outer suburban services in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong, while others ended up assisting on local trains in suburban areas and short country trips.
