The beer will have to wait—briefly
Passing through Larkspur, Colorado, on April 15, 2005, a large 745-ton Belleli vessel was traveling up Colorado’s Joint Line after a long journey from Houston, Texas, to Denver, Colorado, using the “world’s largest railroad car,” BNSF7687 Schnabel CEBX No. 800. The heavy load was going to a Commerce City oil refinery near Denver, and was specially-powered by brand new General Electric ES44DC No. 777. Since this time, in mid-2012, Westinghouse has renumbered this car from CEBX 800 to WECX 800 and has added another Kasgro-built twin car to the Schnabel fleet, WECX 801, which now takes the title of largest railcar in the world.
