Class 47 (D1842) alongside the D78 stock London Underground unit number 7501 at Wirksworth station yard.
As I understand it, after withdrawal from London Underground, 7501 was used as a test bed for the development of battery operated trains.
SNCB class 75 locomotive 7503 on Antwerpen Dam depot, originally main line loco of class 65, these were downgraded to shunters in 1982 for heavy trip workings around Antwerpen docks. Taken on a depot visit whilst on ADL's 'Antwerpen Docks & Noord Yard' railtour. 13th April 1996
The eighteen year career of D7507/25157 was split between London Midland Region & Western Region depots. D7507/25157 has just arrived at Preston with the 13.12 from Blackpool North on July 25th 1981.
