The 3161 governor is a mechanical-hydraulic device that senses speed to control dual fuel engines, diesel engines, or steam turbines. The variety of standard features and available options make the governor ideal for a wide variety of applications that require work capacity of up to
24 N-m (18 lb-ft). Applications include off-highway vehicles, industrial, marine, generator set, compressor, or pump drives.

3161 operation can be isochronous for accurate constant speed or frequency control, or droop for load sharing. The amount of droop may be changed internally or with an optional external lever.

Among the governor options are torque rise and low idle offset which provide increased low speed, no load stability, and reduced undershoot and stalling.

The governor has its own sump for quick startup response. Direction of rotation of the governor drive is set at the factory, but can be changed in the field by turning the pump housing.

International Country Code, FIPS versus ISO 3166

International Country Code is a country listing that is used to uniquely identify a geopolitical entity (countries, dependencies, and areas of special sovereignty). The country code consists of International Standards Organization (ISO) 3166-1, Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 10-4 and many more. Codes been used to save time and to avoid errors, instead of using a country’s name. This is due to the fact that a country’s name will be spelt differently depending on the language being used.

United State Federal Government has developed the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) and announced the FIPS publicly. The FIPS standards are developed to allow all branches of the government to have a standard way to refer to entities. For instance, the FIPS country code act as a standard for encoding data. The FIPS 10-4 standard is a list of two-character country codes which were used for geopolitical entity identification. The FIPS 10-4 country codes are partially compatible with ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country codes.

In addition to the FIPS standard, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has also published their standard which is known as ISO 3166. The ISO 3166-1 uses part of the names as the codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions – Part 1: Countries codes. The ISO 3166-1 is used to define the geographical data with the names of countries and dependent territories. The ISO 3166-1 alpha 2 is a list of two-character country codes that is considered the global standard at present.

EA-3167 is a potent and long-lasting anticholinergicdeliriant drug, related to the chemical warfare agent3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate(QNB). It was developed under contract to Edgewood Arsenal during the 1960s as part of the US military chemical weapons program, in an attempt to develop non-lethal incapacitating agents. EA-3167 has identical effects to QNB, but is even more potent and longer-lasting, with an effective dose when administered by injection of as little as 2.5μg/kg (i.e. 0.2 milligrams for an 80kg person), and a duration of 120-240 hours (5-10 days). However unlike QNB, EA-3167 was never weaponized or manufactured in bulk.

NGC3169

NGC 3169 is a spiral galaxy about 75 million light years away in the constellation Sextans. It has the morphological classification SA(s)a pec, which indicates this is a pure, unbarred spiral galaxy with tightly-wound arms and peculiar features.There is an asymmetrical spiral arm and an extended halo around the galaxy.

This is a LINER 2 galaxy that displays an extended emission of X-rays in the region of the nucleus. A hard X-ray source at the center most likely indicates an active galactic nucleus. The stellar population in the nucleus, and a ring at an angular radius of 6″, shows an age of only one billion years and is generally younger than the surrounding stellar population. This suggests that a burst of star formation took place in the nucleus roughly one billion years ago.

In 1984, a Type II-L supernova was discovered in this galaxy. Designated 1984E, the spectrum of this event at maximum light showed prominent balmer lines that indicated the explosion occurred inside a dense shell of hydrogen surrounding the star. This shell was likely created by a strong stellar wind from the progenitor star. A second supernova was discovered in 2003; this time of type 1a. It was designated SN 2003 cg and reached peak magnitude 15.94.

NGC 3169 is located in close physical proximity to NGC 3166, and the two have an estimated separation of around 160 kly (50 kpc). Their interaction is creating a gravitational distortion that has left the disk of NGC 3166 warped. Combined with NGC 3156, the three galaxies form a small group within the larger Leo 1 group. The three are embedded within an extended ring of neutral hydrogen that is centered on NGC 3169.
