A couple of nice fields we passed by on the South West Coast Path Abbotsbury to Weymouth
They must be a crop, a type of seed for oil maybe?
    Anyone know?

Had to look that up to remind myself where that came from

It reminded me of the live presentation style of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys ...
"The next number is an instrumental, which is a tune without any words"

Every tiny arrival in our pond is currently of ultimate importance to me ...

    ... expect more updates

My radishes were good; only a few left though. They jump from the pot, wash themselves under the outdoor tap and end up in my mouth. Amazing

This popped up on my Facebook page from 5 years ago. A pair of Greater Spotted Woodpeckers that inhabited the copse behind us. Some are still there, but I don’t know how long they live, so could be offspring. This pair did visit the same tree, on occasion, with 2 youngsters, but no pics of them.
Not a great picture as it was taken with my old Windows phone.

Neighbours are Fostering a Seagull chick that absconded from the other neighbours roof
Seems happy enough, it likes the nest they made it with a basket and a towel <laugh>

Saw that happen to my father in law, when in Cornwall, many moons ago.
My wife almost peed herself laughing when hearing, for the first time, her dad use the F word.
    Happy days.

Well now, you're from the landlocked West of course, down here, near the sea, they steal fish & chips
They're actually vegetarians, the neighbours, not the seagulls, so maybe they'll train it to attack carnivores?

During lock-down at a deserted beach, a Basking Shark surfaced right next to us while swimming. Had to scramble to get this picture, and it really doesn't do the experience justice. We reckon it was over 20 feet long. Amazing. (that's my mrs not me before the jokes start)

I’ve been working throughout lockdown, but since restrictions started to lift I’ve been able to work out on beaches again. Lots of early morning starts, but the best time to be on beaches at the moment!

And this how quiet Bournemouth can be if you get there early enough!

What an amazing experience, HR! I’ve only ever seen one and that was in the channel on my mum and dads sailing boat. Such fantastic creatures, but I think I’d **** myself if one appeared when I was swimming (even if I know they’re harmless!)

wow. I’m very jealous. The only time I’ve seen one was at Sennen Cove right down near Lands End and that was from the top of the hill.
