Was at my daughter’s wedding last October and had chippy from the one in north cave. You sit at an outside table of the pub next door, order a pint on your phone, that comes as you sit there waiting for the chippy. The fish, chips and mushy peas were bloody lovely, pint was not bad either lol.
very good, very consistent & 1 min from the kids school in Pock. A real winner after Fri afternoon sports fixtures!!
Opinions please ladies. I’ve got a load of chicken thighs marinading in a yoghurt based Turkish shish marinade, but thinking it will be a lot easier for me to cook them all on my big vertical skewer in the fan oven tomorrow like a shawarma. Good/bad idea?
Normally would but want to use the grill for something else and the weather is far too ****e for bbq, so wondering how it might go all packed on a vertical skewer and cooked like a shawarma/gyros etc in a fan oven. Not sure it will turn out that good as it’s a thick yoghurt based marinade that will probably stay really saucy in the middle where it’s not exposed.
Maybe just spread it all out on a big oven tray, if your oven's big enough... Or bbq with the lid down so you can just leave it if it rains?
