It's shoddy measurement quoting like this that's feeding the obesity crisis.

She's around 90, no? You don't see many fat 90 year olds in the uk or anywhere in the world.

Has she ever been fat at whatever age? She has always said what a big eater of pasta she is. You see plenty of overweight 90 years olds around the world. Italians, despite eating a lot of pasta tend to be less overweight than us. Probably because they tend to cook at home and not eat processed foods or a lot of takeaways.

No, the mortality curve means that you see very few obese 90 year olds. Obese ppl usually die earlier from illness related to their weight.

Maybe Italians are less overweight because they wave their hands about when speaking so much.

 

And Sophia Loren was never overweight at any age despite being a prodigious consumer of pasta.
