10 quid for an artisan chicken and leek pie, a spoonful of mash and a spoonful of peas. Not only that but had to pay for two as my mate had conveniently forgotten his wallet.
A mobile van that was set up at the Yorkshire agricultural machinery show today. Nice but not value for money. Did tell my mate to go get the hog roast but he said the queue was too long. Ey no ****ing wonder the were doing it for a fiver.
I’ve always loved kidney but can’t bring myself to try liver, not sure why! Hated black pudding til I actually tried it. Although branded/supermarket black pudding is like eating matured vomit. Has to be proper stuff from the butcher or a good quality restaurant.
Have you tried pigs ears? A bit like pork scratchings but a bit chewier. Nothing to write home about.
Just had a cup full of Chicken breast with mixed Veg blitzed up so the stomach I have left won’t reject it. Life goes on..
I just had Thai green cheesy pasta. Didn’t think to take a photo but it probably looked worse than it sounds anyway. Pasta doesn’t absorb any sauce, so wouldn’t recommend it other than just the nice to say you’ve tried it. Definitely better with rice. It started as just Thai green pasta and the cheese (grated Red Leicester and extra mature cheddar) was a late addition to the 2nd half because why the hell not. It wasn’t bad but as already said wouldn’t bother again. Been there, done it, will stick to rice in the future.
When we played Bury in the cup (can't remember the year but Akpom got a hat-trick) I took the opportunity to get four links from their market; they were lovely, peppery with just the right amount of back-fat in there!
Our hens have been busy this week (only 2.of 5 laying so far, they're still young) so we'll be doing a frittata for lunch with this lot.
