That flag is absolutely brilliant ! Opposing fans(and quite a few City fans) won't get it. But the great thing about that,is they will ask and discuss. Nice one Mauled
The banner's going down very well on Twitter. Though it's generated quite a few comments about our next one being an Allam Out one.
Every generation will have their own thoughts. I'd love to see Garreth Roberts. Hull born and bred, one club man. Or let's see this on a banner... please log in to view this image
The banner campaign started as a way of showing support for the team and manager. The Cobb Morley banner was voted to be the next one produced. I would still like to see the present players supported and then later go on to legends. For me Elmo has a strong case to be featured next given his number of starts.
Agreed. It's sometimes easy for football fans to come across as formulaic and pandering to the lowest common denominator, but this is smart stuff. So what if some people didn't know who the hell he was until recently? They should've known, and perhaps this will help with raising awareness of Hull's role in the birth of the game, both here in the city and across the wider footballing world. It's an excellent banner.
It certainly looks like theres a desire for more, which is great. We've learned lessons from the other two and I think another large one hung up is possibly too much to ask for at the minute, but the club are really pleased with the two so far, so I reckon they're keen for more in the future, either from us, or comissioning mauled themselves. I reckon we're looking at hand held ones, either massive ones to pass around, large ones for a group which could go to away games too, or flags for fans and/or mascots. We could also look at a combination. A lot of large ones looked after by groups would look good and be easier to implement, give more options for choice of designs and could colour up away games. It seems clear people want images of heros on, so I reckon a poll of that and then get an idea of interests for donations and flag minders as well as checking we can get access to an account for donations. What do you reckon? St Elmo's on fire Ashbee's gonna get you There's only one Deano Waggy, Waggy, Waggy oi, oi, oi.
It would have to be summat along these lines. The greatest moment in the club's history. please log in to view this image
FI've or more years ago, I mentioned it to Hull Civic Society and they were less than interested. I'm not sure if they acted after the more recent request.
Once seen on the wayside pulpit at St Mathews at top of Boulevard JESUS SAVES......And Chillo bangs in the rebound
There's been a suggestion that we get tee shirts made with the same design as the banners and sell them to help fund more banners. Sound like a good idea to me. What do others reckon?
One that says "We all follow a black and amber team!" Then have a trawler version of this please log in to view this image With current city players visible in all the portholes. That's probably overly complicated.
I think the banners are very different in styles, but both are excellent in their own way; I agree that Cobb will attract comment, maybe humour, so no bad thing. I strongly believe that any further project should focus on the club's name, Hull City AFC, as it does seem that we are paying to decorate the stadium for Allam in exactly the same style he has chosen, by dropping our identity. I liked the idea of our old pre- Allam badge, with our name proudly stated underneath it. I wonder how quick the club will be to help us hang that bugger.
