I wrote this on another thread on the subject, and reading through this lot I thought I'd post it here too. I don't know who else knows of these decisions outside of the interested parties involved (i.e. HTFC HCFC & WYP plus various independent supporter organisations) but I think this situation sets a dangerous precedent. Interesting aspect regarding RL fans, hadn't considered that not coming from your environment.

    Anyway, you have my support.<ok>

"It still stinks... if we don't speak up and put a stop to this police state nonsense then there is no end to what they will attempt to get away with. Do they impose these restrictions for a regular night match? I shouldn't have thought so.

What the Commisioner really means is that between policing cutbacks and you're average Saturday night in Huddersfield there are unlikely to be enough coppers to go around... they want the fans into the match (and not beering it up in the town all afternoon) and out of the town after pronto... hence the travel restrictions. Mr Burns-Williamson (rightly) sees a much bigger than usual police wage (overtime) bill for this match which will doubtless not be covered by their contract with HTFC, which is down to the WYC lawyers not doing their job properly.

I'm not normally one to shout "YOOMAN RIGHTS" but I will do so on this occasion. It's 2013 not 1983FFS."

That becomes a circular argument, and far from condoning violence I'd still throw into that argument that if that happens their actions have failed to prevent the trouble. Therefore their actions were unjustified. The people causing trouble would also need to be shown to have consumed alcohol beforehand since the restrictions are to prevent drinking.

It's all academic until the events, their circumstances and their consequences become real. The reasons for bubbling will easily be supported by any acts of violence attributed to the game. That might be unfair, but we know it to be so.

The thread, Press release from Louis Cooper's solicitor is worth a read and may help you, just saying.
