The players all say how wonderful it is being here...I'm soft enough to fall for that again. I'm easy to convince that all is rosy and none would dream of leaving before retirement. Obviously none of us know about Spider next summer and I doubt Toby will stay...his home team can call him back and probably will. Luckily Gardos looks good and, given enough game time, so is Maya. We will probably sign our other loanee, Bertrand (still wanted to put Barnard ). Next summer won't be like this one (fingers crossed)...there will just be the usual small shuffle.

Sounds complicated - I wonder what our reported option to buy actually means then. Something like we get first refusal if they do want to sell, perhaps? Still good as it means he can't go to our competition if he leaves (unless we don't want him, of course).
Yeah if he has a good season and we match the 6.2m he doesn't have to accept our contract offer. Can refuse return to Atletico and they can then ask for whatever they want for him and he can go to another club if he wants.
