Liverpool 0-1 up after a tap in. If wolves carved Chelsea open then Liverpool can and so can anybody for that matter. If they lose tonight and on Saturday and the last match in the CL group stage, oooh hell.
Lucas has been stretchered off, apparently. That could be a massive loss to Liverpool, if he's out for long. A risk playing him tonight.
I thought Arsenal would win it but I was caught in a quandary. I posted a few days ago that Arsenal might return to their early season form but thought that City who were held against Liverpool might start to lose. As Arsenal were at home I thought that that would give them the advantage but not this time. They SHOULD beat Wigan on Saturday though....cheers.
Who's the best team in London atm? Is it Chelsea??? Is it Arsenal??? Might even be another N.London team!!!Yeah!!! But honestly good results for the London teams in the CC.
Chelsea can count themselves fortunate that they are 9 points clear of 8th,9th and 10th.....but for how much longer?
"Villas-Boas immediately prepared the introduction of Juan Mata and Nicolas Anelka, but he was not able to make the change before Liverpool extended their lead."...Ponderous manager costs them. "Mata and Anelka came on, but Liverpool cruised to victory untroubled to move a step closer to Wembley."...Ouch! "And it was another disappointing night for Chelsea's £50m British record signing Fernando Torres, who cut an almost apologetic figure against his former club as he laboured in vain on the margins."...What a ****er. In contrast to Dalglish's obvious delight, Villas-Boas cut a dejected figure... please log in to view this image
City's first win at Arsenal since 1975 or something. So, are City good or are Arsenal on the wane? Drew at home to Fulham and lost tonight. Where are you JayRam?. Ensil, those W's for Chelsea could easily have been replaced by L's at Everton and Blackburn, they were lucky to win both.
Don't distort facts Ensil, if you're going to include cup results include all of them, that means our loss to Rubin as well
Not really, because a) They're innaccurate, and b) They still got further than us, and lost to bigger clubs.
The team from a small village in Kent (surely it's in South London) has quite an impressive record. Granted not as good as ours, but nothing to be ashamed of. Tonight's team was very weak looking.
Have to agree, harsh result on Arsenal - you fielded a much weaker side than city and still managed to at least match them in performance.
Dzeko and Aguero vs Chamakh and Park. That was the difference in the end. One clear chance and it was game over.
