I feel a bit sorry for the people who had to keep their kebab shop open on Christmas Day. It's a holiday for pity's sake. Unless you're a member of the emergency services that must operate 24/7/365 everyone should have the day off.
The kebab shop is not the best. It’s in Catford FFS, an area best avoided. Within 5 mins a man entered the shop who’s first language did not appear to be in English... he demanded a “free large lamb doner” and said his girlfriend was arriving in the UK in January and would bring the money then. A heated wrangle ensued which ended with the kebab shop holding his long kebab knife, and the African gentleman leaving the shop without his free kebab.
The Hidden Life of Trees which I received yesterday, is an amazing book. If you read it you will feel differently next time you go for a walk in the woods.
