I went down it a few times, was the only decent ride at the park. Something quite relaxing about standing in a booth thing with a countdown going on before the floor drops out and you fly down the equivalent of a 20 story building.

I didn't like Dubai in general though, not sure why it is so popular
It's a horrible place. Utterly soulless.

Stayed at the Jumeirah something hotel (the one that looks like a wave). Could see that Wiz Khalifa building or whatever it is called from my balcony. Fake **** everywhere, everything costing a ****ing fortune and nowhere to go or see. Lots of fit women there though with that fat Russian/German/English husbands. Being there at Xmas made it pretty hard to get anywhere with them though.

If I wanted to go on a hotel holiday I'd much rather just go to a 5* in Turkey or somewhere else where you don't want to leave the hotel. Costs far less and still get the Russian women to perve on.

Wiz Khalifa! <laugh>

I suppose it is, if you hate your family <laugh>

My father in law is a lovely guy. He is soft as ****e and a Guardian reading liberal, but not a militant lefty.
My mother in law is right wing as ****, to the point where I wonder how or why these two got married. They are divorced now though (she cheated).

Typical fascist <ok>

My eldest daughter teaches there. She ****ing hates the place.

Oh right.

What does she think of the water park?

She cited that as an attraction when she was trying to persuade me to visit her over there. She knew she was flogging a dead horse given the alcohol and drugs situation over there. Mexico, however, is a different kettle of fish <laugh>

You can drink in Dubai. Not sure anywhere would serve Carling though.
