Just took this off the old one

what age did the Santa Bomsbshell happen for your kids?
mine is 7 nearly 8 and shes quite intelligent, she believes for now but dont think it will be long.
my wife wants to do that stupid elf thing this year ( also have a son whos 5 )
i worry this will be the thing that starts to break the illusion, i dont think she will fall for this elf twat coming to life every night and i worry this facade will be the start of the whole thing beginning to unravel.“

Honestly my daughter was the same
Did the elf and she completely believed if for a few more years!!

This thread's arrived just in time.

Me daughter's just called and asked me to play Ernie The Taxi Driver tomorrow to get her and various colleagues to Gateshead Federation Brewery (these days simply known as The Fed), to attend their works Christmas party. This appears to involve driving circuitous routes all over North and South Tyneside, Gateshead and Newcastle. I'm also banned from asking for fares - which is a bit of a damper when pulling the old taxi racket.

I had 2 comments:

One, it's frigging November, why are you having a Christmas party?

Two, I'm going nowhere until the City game is finished and I'll probably be in a bad mood.

Federation, supplier to just about every working mans club in the north east.

Do they still have working mens club up there?
