Akin to the"Borg"? Strength in numbers? I'm still a naysayer though until at least mid November. Similar attitude holds for Christmas decorations, with everything down by Epiphany (Jan 6th), bad luck my Dad used to say if you left stuff up past then. For my own personal tastes, around Dec 7th (one week before my birthday) when the live tree was cut and setup, and everything down Jan 1st. With that 3 week window you save a bunch electricity too and the tree isn't shredding needles all over the place.
