I half agree with both of you. THE main reason that we didn't come far closer to a top 4 finish was our lack of a decent striker(s). Having said that I do believe that Chelsea will have to buy this summer. They have far too many ageing players who are up to, or past their sell by date. Fat Frankie, Terry, Anelka, Drogba. If they have to rely on Torres to score the majority of their goals next season, they could struggle. In other words, I feel that Chelsea's dip in form was more than just a blip caused by the Wilkins situation.
Mostly agreed. We were actually playing pretty poorly a few weeks before Wilkins went. A fact the media conveniently ignore. I still think Frank and Drogba have a lot to offer we just need more creativity. Terry on the other hand was one of our best players last year and is certainly nowhere near past it. As for "Liverpool improving", it's hard for a club to improve when the likes of Maxi and Mereiles want out, as Comolli spunks their money up the wall on the likes of Carroll and Henderson.
