Round of applause from me Football managers have to be confident, if it goes well it’s genius, if it doesn’t it’s arrogance I think he’s one of the nicest managers we’ve had, but we were doomed with his style in the Prem, but particularly with the squad we had
So 23/24 clubs confirmed then. Just have to see if we get a trip to Orient or the return of the Welsh lunatic.
A dismal day all round at Wembley today. Sheff Utd will be grumbling about the use of VAR given it’s not there the rest of the season And Sunderland fans have the long journey home knowing they’re in for an awful season next year.
. Away games I'd like to get to (depending on getting a ticket/time off) in order: Charlton Norwich PNE QPR Wrexham
Main priorities for me: Skates (though the bubble might make it a let down) Wrexham Oxford QPR Charlton Wednesday Preston Boro Ideally I'd like to tick off all 11 I've not been too but realistically that won't happen and I think 12:30 KO'S might scupper a few northern ones.
And the opposite from me. Nicest? Don’t give a toss. Doomed with his style? Said that time & time again half way through Championship season. Squad? Yep even more so & more the reason he/we had to adapt (in some format). Blokes a knob for not adapting. IMO.
Think this is going to be one of the toughest championships for a while. You have the three relegated teams expecting to go straight back up. If we have a good summer with transfers I think us and Ipswich will be there or there about, whilst Leicester have a few other problems to sort out first. Sheffield Utd will go again and I think Coventry will look to push again under Lampard. Throw in the likes of Wrexham and Birmingham who have momentum and will splash some cash. From a fans point of view, think it will be great to have the derby with Poopey, then we have the Nathan Jones and probably Russell Martin games to look forward to. Actually quite looking forward to the season.
Yeah obviously a long summer ahead, but right now I think Ipswich by a distance, followed by Sheff Utd. Will wait till August before predicting Saints.
I'm assuming that if Leicester are to depart with RVN, it will be announced this week. But given their financial issues, I do wonder if they might decide to retain him.
Only team that can finish above them, imo is us. And that depends on a hugely positive summer window and Still hitting the ground running. Think Leicester are in danger of imploding if they get RM. Obviously it's too early to make any serious predictions yet though.
