Pros and cons, obviously, but Shef Wed will go into next week having spent almost nothing over the summer, with a new manager and a style of play, last season at least, which should suit us down to the ground. I FANCY IT!
Didn’t renew my ST this season, for personal reasons. Just bought, with remarkable ease, a ticket for QPR, so that’ll be my first game of the season. Even downloaded it into my e wallet with no unnecessary agro, can this mean that the Saints site is not as **** as I have previously found it?
Russell Martin on talkSPORT this morning as part of their preview of the EFL season starting this week:
I've only just spotted that Wober was the latest player to leave Leeds on loan this week. I think that's now a total of 9 first team players who have left since last season, including 6 on loan. A huge cut to their wage bill, no doubt, But only £3m, plus whatever loan fees, recouped on the 9. They were purchased for a total of roughly £120m.
Just watching the EFL highlights on ITV4. Genuinely not going to miss the PL at all. Going to enjoy this season I think…
A decent interview with Russ Martin on the latest EFL Podcast. https://www.efl.com/official-efl-podcast/
If you can put up with the sorta annoying host, this is an interesting evaluation of the Championship and why this is a great and incredibly dodgy/dangerous league.
Interested to scope out the competition in this triple Super Sunday of Championship action. Who needs the PL?
