Nothing any sensible fan wouldn't already know, Rodgers and Potter do not drop down to the second tier.
I mean, I get it and everything, but taking the Celtic job again? That is very much the easy option, and he's already achieved everything up there. Bit of a waste of his next few years really. Not saying he should have been tempted by Saints, but I'm surprised Leeds doesn't appeal to him.
Does the Championship NOT have the 'leaked fixtures a few days before the real ones' blokes posting on Social Media? The Premier League numpty has been at it once more. Always hilariously incorrect.
Ralph gave him a few appearances during the covid season when we had nobody and he had no choice. Watts was a schoolboy and not on our books under Puel.
Wasn’t there talk that we were interested in him? Unless it is for location reasons seems odd that he would turn down one relegated team for another
Difficult not to look at it with Saints tinted specs. Obviously Leicester have a brilliant recent history, last season aside, but I thought that the consensus was that financially they aren’t in a great place for a rebuild and promotion push. Maybe that’s overstated, I don’t follow it that closely. But I would have assumed that Saints look the better project moving forward given how important money is in the modern game. And yet he turned us down and has gone to Leicester. Be interesting to see how he gets on.
Yeah they clearly have a better side than us right now but I can’t see most of their good players staying (same as us). Maybe he has been told he can reinvest some of the money they should get. Both clubs are doing a clear out/rebuild type thing so you’d think the financial side would be very important to a new manager As a bit of a side question how many coaches/assistants to Pep have now become managers in their own right? Obviously Arteta springs to mind but there must have been some others.
