I agree with you about Hume he's got genuine quality written all over him. Hopefully we can get him signed up because I see him playing at the top level.

I dunno about Luke at RB long term, he's done well and I'm happy for him to finish the season there but if we get promoted it's a big step up. I'd rather get a dedicated RB in and let him play in the position he knows best but he's got the perfect mentality to fully tackle a new role and maybe that's where his future is.

In short I dunno, we'll have to see how he looks a league up.

O9 would be great in an attacking midfielder or playing just behind the striker role imo.

I'm not so sure, that wouldn't make use of two of his best traits: work rate and athleticism. I can see him being a decent box-to-box midfielder, sort of a Fernandinho type.

What about his eye for a goal, surely that is also a huge consideration. and if he continued to bang them in his value to the club would soar. Its worth a go, much easier replacing a full back than a goal scorer as we are finding out. <ok>

£4million plus that CB that disappeared off face of earth he was so ****e.

Absolute snip, Alonso was exceptional for us second half of that season.

Have to say I didn’t realise the concerns of the back line were so universal, just shows that the support this season has been just that, support.

I think we all realise they're not the best in terms of footballing ability but the lack of any real quality in this league and a very good keeper means we've got a very good record.

Like you say though its about supporting the lads not nailing them.

Never ever like to knock SAFC players but what the f*ck has happened to the CB's in the last two games? I thought it was impossible to be worse that Tuesday. They were a helluva lot worse today.

All better than this time last year as a club. Auto promotion still on, done a cup final and maybe another coming up, you can bet your life it will be against Charlton..

Ellis is gone (maybe), great new owners, the only way is up and if not this season then the seasons to follow..<ok>

I actually feel sorry for these 2. Yes they've both made individual errors but they were left awfully exposed yesterday. We know they've got no pace so can't really blame them for that. The way we play we are asking them to be our playmakers. Leadbitter and Honeyman take no responsibility in trying to play a forward pass which leaves these 2 trying to play that ball between the lines. They are centre backs playing in league one for ****s sake hardly the most cultured of footballers.

Ross I support so do not get me wrong

But wtf , if us numpties (I speak for myself obviously) can spot the weakness in defence, surely the manager does.

Yesterday like many on the ground I was despairing of our very porous defence. Not helped by the two Centre Midfielders not offering much protection. I did wonder at times were we playing 4 2 4

We may have to revert to 4 5 1 to give the defence some much needed aid.

09, made one mistake fir the first goal, after that played well. The Roker Report ratings giving him a 2 was ridiculous the two CBs were much worse

I think it's safe to say that as a team at least 9 of them decided to have an off day all on the same day.
Jack's problem is to ensure that doesn't happen again this season.
Going back to one up top might work, if so I'd start Wyke and ensure our attacking midfielders get close enough to him to make it work and I'd use Grigg off the bench second half if needed.
The spare man would be Catts tied on a short length of rope to the two CB's as the cover we plainly didn't have yesterday.
