Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that the young kids from Thailand are being treated so well by Celtic. More power to them.
treated so well = forced to learn songs in a different language and wear green and grey hoops for the amusement of others
Surely learning English (albeit a Glaswegian variant) can only help them in future? It certainly won't harm their future prospects in life, as for being forced to wear football tops for the amusement of others perhaps you have some evidence? They seem to enjoy what they are doing and at the very least they are getting a nice holiday.
the guy out there has an English accent. They'll be ok. Truth be told they were quite reticent about coming. But if it raises awareness and money for the good child foundation then it can only be good.
Through the visit, the Good Child Foundation, the Club and our supporters will aim to raise funds - via Celtic Charity Fund - to help children with Down's Syndrome in Thailand, and also support the work of Down's Syndrome Scotland, with whom we enjoy an existing relationship. If they were raising money to help Celtic FC then people may have a cause to complain.
Yes looks like the Celtic Charity Fund are actually raising money for "Real" charities and "Real" causes. Imagine they were raisng money for businesses/companies?
oh do shut up ya boring old fud. it is very public exploitation aimed at engendering interest in Thailand ffs. It's all about Celtic FC, surely a hardened cynic like you can see through that. if not i have lost what little respect I had for a bent copper.
I went with my regiment to Arnhem in 1979, we visted the cemetery, I signed the guest book, it was very interesting. A great wee holiday can include a trip to the graveyard.
