Recent history tells us that there are good players that can be had for next to nothing: I give you Craig Noone as an example. Now we are in the lower leagues, signings such as that can yield benefits earlier than maybe they could in the Championship. The trick is of course to find the right ones and it remains to be seen if we have the management to do it. On the Ridsdale thing, Mr. R is nothing if not self centred. His interest in Plymouth Argyle except as a source of income ceased the moment it became clear he wouldn't be buying it for a quid.
