I was a bit more than just that. It was the disproportionate loading of the overall burden towards quite a lot of the lower end of the income scale. Even grassroots tories also objected, which was ultimately why it was scrapped altogether as opposed to just tweaked. .

I know. But you had the situation where, for example, myself, the wife and my two lads were working but our rates wee the same as the widow next door despite us using far more of the services. Whatever system there is not everyone will be happy.

Yes, it is baffling why there is so much interest in it. But papers don’t print what people don’t want to read. Except perhaps the HDM with RL. There are reams of stuff every day about”celebrities” a lot of us know nothing, and care less, about.

For many it is their entertainment like us with our football or any other soap opera. Its not so much news, but it is an industry in itself, and news outlets use it as the sugar in the medicine to get their editorial and political bias into people heads.

The point was people were making fun of her dementia but those same people spout about decency and respect where others are concerned.
Meghan isn’t black, she is mixed race. In fact she always described herself as Caucasian in her early days. She did such a good job of disguising her roots I didn’t realise she wasn’t white, I just thought she had a complexion from living in sunny climes when I first saw her.
What people objected to about the poll tax was many of them would have to contribute for the first time.

You never mentioned dementia and I get your point, my hatred of her was her politics, my wife still sometimes says, coloured for Black people, she doesn’t like to say Black she thinks it would offend, but your excuse is similar, the day after Harry went public with Meghan the press went crazy for her, and described in great detail her mixed race, straight outta Compton was a quote Harry described.
Only the three negative reports today on Meghan, but still none about the nonce, strange that.

Finally, a thread to argue with each other on without derailing thousands of other threads. I suggested this ages aao, I wasn’t the only one.

Allelujah.

People form Australia and Cheshire, and those who throw oranges, will be made up. Amongst many others.

But I do know him, we have communicated on here, just because I haven’t seen him makes no difference
Mate, I can’t remember having a disagreement with you as your current name. If I did it’s still all good. You still know nothing about me however.

It doesn’t make you anything, but I don’t know anyone can dislike someone they don’t know personally, you can look at a photo and think, ugly twat, but that’s only your interpretation, I do it my self, and I met the Allams once so my dislike of them is real,
I never met Peter Sutcliffe and I didn't know him personally, should the whole Country have reserved opinion on him because they didn't know him?
