This reminds me of the letter to Viz magazine:

    Dear Sir,
People are always complaining about increases in the price of petrol. It doesn’t affect me - I only ever put £10 in.

Morning all. At present the sun is shining in through the windows, but the high level cloud is moving over at pace, so I forecast that it will bring more cloud and showers in before the day is out. One of our part time English residents has arrived for the first time this year. As a freelance photographer he works all round the world and told me that if you are lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, one picture will earn you enough to provide a years earnings. He doesn't like the paparazzi type with their intrusive snaps as it gives those who show respect a bad name. Enjoy your day whatever the weather. <ok>

I wonder if anyone ever racially abused Darkie Cother? He was a big beefy bugger by all accounts...

Just to brighten your morning - or what's left of it - here's some interesting advice on how to build up your body's immune system, to help fight against coronavirus. https://bigthink.com/sex-relationships/health-benefits-of-masturbation?rebelltitem=2#rebelltitem2

Alternatively, you could follow the advice of some Japanese Health officials, who say that sipping water every fifteen minutes will wash any virus that has found its way into your mouth down into your stomach - where it will be despatched immediately by the acids present. A good time to point out that beer is generally over 90% water...<cheers>

    Have a good day!

Heard on the radio that an amusement arcade operator felt stockpiling bog rolls was so rediculous that he filled his grab machine with them!

Near-afternoon all. Just finished watching a documentary on Australian TV about Jeffrey Epstein - it included interviews with a few of the 14 year-old girls he abused. What a sickening creature he was - and those associated with him. The world is certainly better off without him.

To cleanse the memory from my mind, I'm off to take the dog for a walk along the beach - blue skies and sunshine up here.

Morning all. The météo tells me that this morning I will see belles éclaircies, but this afternoon rares averses, followed this evening by pluies éparses. It just starts to dry up a little, then more showers or rain appear. I must get and make sure that Mme's car will start while it is still dry as she wants it tomorrow, and I hate having to do it in the rain. She hasn't been anywhere in it for a fortnight, her bit to help the planet, and the battery is not in the first flush of youth, so in the colder weather it can be a bit reluctant to fire up. All these little things take a few minutes out of the day and you can finish up wondering what you have been at. Never mind there is lots to see now. The pear tree against the barn wall is just starting to show the blossom, and the peach tree is in flower. Have a good day one and all. <ok>

Six points for the taking there - and maybe two for the stealing.

In France all Ligue 1 games are to be played behind closed doors, or a maximum of 1,000 will be allowed in. I guess that with TV crews, staff from the clubs etc. that does mean no fans. I haven't yet seen what will happen in Ligue 2 where my interest lies, but at some games it will not be that different from normal.

I guess we won't be seeing him again then - Adam Levanthal reported recently that he'll be leaving at the end of this season

Morning all. Damp and windy, but very mild here. I needed a piece of glass to go in my woodburner door as somehow I had managed to crack it. With a bang the small crack went from one small one in a corner to a large one across the full width. I knew I could get a replacement from the DIY place in town, but thinking about a forty mile round trip wondered if I could get one delivered from an internet company. Yes I found what I wanted, but was horrified to see that the cheapest one was €70 plus €10 delivery. So I waited until we had to go to town for the weekend shopping and ordered one that will arrive at the store tomorrow. Clearly I was not the first to need one as the assistant knew without having to look what the price per m2 was. €36 from a store with overheads shows that sometimes the internet is not the best place to buy something. Have a good day whatever you are doing. <ok>
