I like Christmas Eve when the log burner is going, there is some great music on TV, and the jobs are done and dusted. Hopefully my wildlife will be discouraged from setting up home in my outhouse, but I suspect that what I have done will be only temporary. The lights are twinkling away alongside the house for any passers by to see and get in the spirit, Despite the moans and groans in the country, estimates show that shoppers have been out in force, and more money has been spent than last year on food, wine and presents. There is a spirit of goodwill to people that you meet, and no one seems greatly stressed, although someone did tell me that parking at the large supermarket today was a nightmare. So feet up for a while, and this bottle of Merlot is very relaxing. Enjoy your evening.
Merry Christmas to you all on this grey Christchurch morning. No beach today, I fear. The children are still in bed (and will hate to be called children). They don't believe in Father Christmas. May the festive season and New Year bring the downfall of all who face the Yellow and Black.

Morning all. Bright and sunny at present, quite warm for the time of year, but showers are forecast for later in the day. Must get and start the clear up today as we now have presents from the family that we have to find homes for. It would appear that others decided that we are underfed judging by the gifts that we received, which could not be further from the truth. Need some more logs from the fields so that should burn up a few calories. Have a good day wherever you are.
Morning all. Overcast, but still dry, so I am hoping that the green lane I use is starting to dry up a bit. I am still wondering how Ben Foster made that save yesterday. I was certain that we were about to fall behind as I couldn't see how their forward could miss. Plenty of people around the country have made comment about it, with some saying that he should be given an England recall. I am not sure that he would fit in with Southgate's policy of giving younger players a chance. Enjoy your day whatever is planned. I must hit the shops as wine supplies are getting very low and there is another game to get through tomorrow.
Morning all. An early start, so cannot see the sky. I do know it is not raining though. Family coming for the day, so Mme has come up with a fantastic menu, the trouble being that she forgot to get the peppers yesterday. So instead of a nice steady plod into wakefulness I am being despatched to the supermarket. With people around I doubt that I will be able to follow the game today, but I will try. Enjoy the game for me.
