I am really very sorry to read your news Fez. Just what you needed when you are under the weather yourself. I will add her to my list of people that I send out good vibes to everyday. It seems to have been working well for some years now.
Just read your news Fez. Very sorry.. But this can be beaten.... I have relatives and friends who have survived breast cancer and are now fit and well. Wish you all well.... And will say a little prayer for you....
Morning all. Damp and breezy here, not the sort of day for a public holiday. Our Parisians are back and will no doubt follow tradition by placing flowers on the family graves. La Toussaint is good as it often takes people back to where they grew up, and establishes meetings with old friends who haven't moved away. To sit and share a meal is very different from keeping in touch via Facebook. It is a shame that nothing quite like it exists in the UK. Have a good day whatever you must do.
Good morning folks. A good one for me.. Just had my 6 monthly long term conditions review.. Oh the joys of low carb. Hba1c now barely one point above normal, blood pressure under control, cholesterol without statins.. Normal.. Best Dr's appointment after 20 years of struggle... Low carb has turned my life around.. Still rattling with meds both prescribed and otherwise.. But now have more control.. And stopping successfully those nasty statins which were not good for me..
Last week my GP recommended I start taking statins for a higher than normal cholesterol reading. I declined the offer promising to change my ways and to review in 6 months (not much change so far!!) I understand once on statins it is normally for life. I prefer not to add any further medication than my daily Lansoprazole. Any advice out there?
I have had a message from Dan Starkey asking me to pass on his good wishes to everyone. He still sees what is going on even though he cannot join in. He has his fingers crossed that the first win will happen very soon.
Morning all. Sunshine and showers in rural France today. Watching rugby final, and it is not going well for England in that first half. Need to up their game. I expect to be saying the same thing about another team later today. Have a good time whatever.
Morning all. Sunshine and heavy showers now, but overnight we had gale force winds. At 3.00 am Mme woke me up to say that she had heard a crash, and thought I should investigate. With one eye I concluded that one of the first floor shutters didn't seem to be where I left it last thing, just slightly open, fixed with the locking bar. Not much I was going to do with the rain pouring down, so laid awake wondering just what had happened. This morning I found the shutter laying on the grass verge, and discovered that the wind had ripped the screws out of the hinge allowing it to fall. Not much damage to the shutter, but think that the screws will have to be replaced with coach bolts that go right through the timber. The screws provided with the hinges look nice, but are not good enough. Also think it is partly my fault for not closing them fully. Never mind, just another little job to do. Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.
