I of course will celebrate again at 1 am local time with my London and the good folks of the Canaries I like living here but at moments like this I do miss the English traditions and above all London. Morning all. Another year, so another calendar. Very mild for a New year's day, and the friends from around the world are sending their best wishes. Great thing this internet. Great display of lights and fireworks in Paris at midnight, very different to London. We watched both, and saluted them with bubbly. So should I get back to some jobs today or not? I get bored watching old films, and the world indoor petanque championship is hardly fast and furious. I will think about it over another coffee.

Very exhausted here after days of social activities, walks, catering events for family and friends and sleepovers with grandchildren.... Bring on the year!
Happy New Year everyone. Spent the day watching Xmas DVD's. Out for a couple of pints after Mrs Fez got home from work, fish and chip supper, various strong ales, Jools Holland, and a cocktail to see the new year in.
