Morning all from a lovely sunny and warm rural France. Woken his morning by the council workmen with a large digger scraping the verges back to improve drainage off the road. I must go and investigate to see if they have done anything where the water collects at the bottom of the hill. My suspicion is that they will not know about it, and will have cleared the wrong side of the road.
Morning all. Bright, sunny and dry here. I have a large heap of blackthorn that I cut back before my trip, and now I must dispose of it. With little or no wind it seems like a good day for a bonfire.
Morning all from a lovely Autumn scene here. The sun is shining on the wonderful array of colours in the trees and hedgerows. Many leaves have now fallen, but there are enough left to create such a splendid show. Must do some replenishing of the cave today. At this time of year there are often bargains to be had as the Chateau producers have limited storage space and need to offload previous years bottles. Have a good day whatever you have planned.
Morning all. Very grey and feels quite chilly outside. Looking at the forecast for the coming week there is a sign that winter will soon be upon us.
Morning all, looks as if we have a fine day ahead of us. Monthly dinner date, and I have had an advance sight of the menu. It is going to be difficult to choose.
Morning all. We have our first overnight frost of the season. Not so heavy to leave the grass and hedgerows sparkling, but a frost on roofs of the houses, barns and cars. Many of the birds that disappear from the garden during the summer are back looking to see if we have put food out for them, and the cranes are now starting their migration south in earnest.
