Heavy snow falling in Newhaven, but my ferry, which is very quiet is heading towards blue skies and sunshine, but it's unlikely to be very warm. Received a text from my daughter who has frozen pipes in part of her house. Glad I left my heating on.
Brian Make sure you wear any lucky clothing you may have on Saturday West Brom is the only game I feel nervous about because it is one we should win without any problem, but they have been a bogey time in the past, I will be happy if they and Stoke are relegated
Sadly not the best news from my follow up appointment. I have grade 3 aggressive cancer and I have to go back for another operation to find out how deeply seated it is. I have a week booked in Norwich for the 28th March to 4th April so it will be soon after that.
Wishing you all the best and hoping it will be better news after your next operation. The Golden Boys will be routing for you.
Dave, as Mark says, take heart from your fellow canary getting through. On the front page of today's Jersey Evening Post, they said that we should expect a blizzard on Thursday to match the one we had 5 years ago which caused drifts. The strange thing is I don't remember it. However, less than an hour after the JEP hit the shops, the Jersey Met Office issued a statement saying that we're going to have more sleet than snow.
OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed Night all Night H Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts it is much appreciated
Good luck with your next op Dave. As I mentioned before my father in law had bladder cancer that was successfully removed and cured so chin up mate.
Sorry to read this Dave. If you ever think that you are on your own, forget it. As seen above we are all thinking about you, and will continue to send out our best positive vibes to cheer you up. Stay strong.
My only criticism is that where I live those news bulletins are about Oxford, Portsmouth, Southampton and Swindon on the BBC and anywhere from Hastings to Southend, Stoke to Hereford on ITV! It's ridiculous. I suppose Oxford is only 20 miles away but, short of news about terrorists in Aylesbury nowhere around here gets a mention. Apparently the Chilterns are in the way so we don't receive the signal from London.
Good morning all from a cold and snow bound Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day! Wow! What a fine lot of people you all are, thank you all so much for your good wishes!
Morning all from a snow free rural France. As I travelled down from Dieppe yesterday there were a few flurries, and the temperature dropped to -7°C. Some snow might come during the evening, but will turn to rain through the night as the temperature rises, and we could be up to 16°C tomorrow. I hope that any of you suffering at present stay safe if you have to go out and about.
