Morning all, yellow weather warning in place not for storms or flash flooding, just high temperatures. I notice that the elderly lady across the road already has one of the local band of nurses in checking that she has everything she needs to keep cool. She is well looked after by neighbours and family anyway who pop in and out to check up on her, but the system certainly seems to function well since changes were made a few years ago.
I spent 35 years living in the tropics where high humidity is the norm, and don't know of anyone who would say that they were used to it. Being asthmatic was one of the reasons I left - high humidity and asthma simply don't go together.
Good morning all from a warm and dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and it's good to be back in touch!
Yesterday I lifted some of my beetroot that were about tennis ball size. Today Mme has cooked them, and the smell reminds me of the days at primary school. I didn't always stop for school dinners, but when I did cooked hot beetroot was often served as a hot vegetable. At home we only had it cold with salad, so it was quite different for me. Strange how a smell can take you back so far into the past.
Our U23s are facing former Hornet Sebastien Bassong tonight - who really only just scrapes in for the U32s... 0-0 at the moment.
Good morning all from a warm and dry Weston-super-Mare, with lots of rain promised for much of the day! Have a good day!
It is clearly spam as it has popped up on lots of boards. The supermods have been told, so I guess they will deal with it.
