Morning all, no frost last night, but I see that the car has just a little snow on it. Many of the small rivers are frozen over, and one 16 stone friend walked down the one that goes past his mill house. A day off from building works today, so I expect Mme will have something lined up for me to do instead.
The timing of your globetrotting is now clear. I'm reminded of Billy Connolly talking about a conversation he had with Wincey Willis, the weather forecaster in the early 1980s on TV-am: "Why do you insist on telling people the weather is bad? Tell them it's hot, tell them it's boiling, tell them "It's a scorcher!!" They know it's pishing. If they want to know the weather they look out the ****ing window. The only reason they tune into you is to see your lip-gloss and your tits." 'Of its era', PC-wise, but still makes me chuckle.
Morning all. The wind that has been coming from the North for the past week has moved 180° and now is bringing much more comfortable temperatures. As if by magic all of the ice that has been in trays to hold the summer floral displays has vanished. Even the birds that were lining up to get at the food we put out for them, are only making short trips, although at mid-day I expect a sudden rush to get food. They are French after all.
Anyone know why WD sport has just stopped giving news? Is there another site other than the WO, as I don´t really rate them....If so thanks in advance... ¡¡Enjoy the weekend!!
Yes they gave up and closed it down. Kevin Affleck is now writing for the Official Watford site. I am afraid you will have to search around Mex.
Morning all from St. Helier - good to see rain on the ground when I get up instead of frost as it means that it's warmer.
