Morning all, beautiful Sunday morning, blue sky and very mild. Bags are ready to go in car, ferry running to schedule, just need to get to Dieppe now. With luck I might get through the checks into the UK in time for a pint of real ale tonight. No match thread from me this week, but should be back next Saturday.
OFH, you are lucky going from Dieppe as it means that you aren't sailing with Condor Ferries. My ex is looking at going to visit her Dad in the Charente Maritime for his birthday in the last weekend of May. I know it's a Bank Holiday weekend, but £320 return for her and the car is ridiculous. If you want to fly, you have to go via England first.
Morning, Dave; morning, all. Does seem a mite cold, Dave. Where did all that bloody rain come from last night? That wasn't forecast, was it? I thought it was going to be dry till Thursday. Still, my wife brought the washing in just before, by total chance, and she was like Basil Fawlty when: "Don't you realise, Polly? Even if I give her the £75 back, I'm still £10 up on the deal! For the first time in my life, I'm ahead! I'm winning!" We all know that sort of feeling doesn't last though, don't we? "What's that, Basil?" please log in to view this image
Morning all from a chilly Chicago. There was a blizzard and snow showers here on Saturday but yesterday it was 70F - sat out in the garden and had a beer.

Been in pain all week and not sleeping due to some undiagnosed problem... slept for the first time all through last night.... and today is my birthday ... and my senior citizen free travel card has arrived Lunch at a local family Italian.... and then dinner at a southern Indian family restaurant in L@@ds
Morning all from a bright and sunny, but very chilly Chicago. Luckily yesterday's snow has not stayed around as we are on the overnight red eye this evening. We visited the Baha'i temple in Chicago yesterday, a beautiful and peaceful place. Very interesting to read about this faith and how it operates - I will be reading up about it on my return. Very happy birthday Yorkie, hope the pasta is good and does not blow you out for the Ruby tonight.
The Diamond Travelcard is issued by your local council and offers free bus travel after 9.30 Mon to Fri and all day Saturday and Sunday. Here in N. Somerset it's offered from age 60 years both male and female!
It is interesting. I recently split my class into small groups & gave each group a religion to study and report back on. I deliberately put the class 'rowdies' together and gave them the Baha'i Faith as their research project. It worked a treat...
