Good Morning all on this traditional sporting day in England. It doesn't exist here in France where the people are saving themselves for the New Year's Eve feast. Life gets back to normal today, although when you see that your stores are all opening, is the Boxing Day holiday gradually disappearing for many people?
Morning all..... was going for a walk but constant heavy rain and our front garden is now flooding..... where we live is old marsh land and there is nowhere for the water to go.... it must stop soon!
Just returned from the baker under a cloudless blue sky, sorry Yorkie, and there were even more cranes flying south. I have been using them for years as a weather guide, and this year they were late starting their migration, but I have never seen them this late in the year. Will this mean that we will have a very short cold spell as they start to head back north usually about the end of February?
Another day of grey cloud here in Hertfordshire, I now wish I was going to watch the hornets, will have to make do with hornet player.
We are flooding slowly here in North Leeds.... Adel is old English for marsh..... the sponge of the earth is literally full and we have a current flowing down the street and we are nowhere near a flood area as we are quite high.... River Aire in Leeds at flood levels etc Give me a cold spell !!
Morning all, another beautiful day in rural France. Feeling very sorry for those in England who are suffering the heavy rain and flooding. Planning to spend the day on estate work as tomorrow family are coming here for the day. Rather doubt that I will have much chance to watch the game.
