I love the atmosphere in a decent French restaurant midday Sunday. Entire families with grand parents sitting in the middle of a long table so they can hear everyone, and the latest grand-child sat in a high chair being introduced to new and wonderful flavours.
Good lunch, lots of families and after the gallery caught a tram out to big leisure and sports development to get a feel for life outside the old city. Hugely entertained by a talented and lively group of gospel singers...had a big crowd singing along in the end.
I feel I must apologise for the SN23 troll seeking me on your fine board, if you wish me not to post to avoid it happening again please let me know and I'll leave, I won't be offended, I understand completely! OK you lovely people, I'm off to bed! Night all Night H
I don't think you need to apologize for anything, let alone leave the board Dave. Unfortunately some people don't have much respect for decent conversation and it is them that should depart, not the ones of reason.
Dave, you are more than welcome here as always, we can put up with daft people in order to keep the good ones!
Thank you OFH Much appreciated! As always, thank you H you will be rewarded in Heaven for being such a beautiful person!
Please stay. SN23 is only massaging his/her ego. Unfortunately only superhorns knows what that means. Leo apparently does it a lot though?
I think Dave believes he has no support from anyone on the Norwich board. Can I just say, he has mine.
Morning all from a beautiful sunny day in rural France. No wind, no cloud, no frost and very warm for this time of year. It was the first round of the regional elections here yesterday, with the second round to come next Sunday. As expected the ruling socialist party took a right kicking for telling people they could have their cake and eat it, which has not proved to be correct. The far left and greens disappeared without trace, so the big winner was the FN who will bask in their success for the coming week. It is expected that many socialists will support the conservatives in the second round to keep the FN at bay, although they could still take over the running of two or three regions. Yesterday the turnout was under 50%, so it will be interesting to see how many more or less will go to the polls next Sunday. With the price of diesel falling to under a € per litre they don't have the excuse that it is too expensive to go.
These are the new regions, 13 instead of 22. It is a great shame that they have been reduced in this way after efforts of the previous administration to get local government closer to the people.
Yes and I agree 100%. Most of the village name signs have black ribbons across them in this area to show that many communes are also to disappear. Real havoc is going on in the country areas as money is being diverted away to the big cities.
Afternoon all. I see we are ball number 41 in this evening's FA Cup third round draw. Does anyone have any preferences for who we get? It's great to not be thinking a plum premier league team would be good for the money we would make. There's no reason why we cannot have a good run this year.
