Morning all from a bright & sunny Bandit Country. Just off to the station to pick my mate up and then to pick up another mate and his daughter who are baggies fans and then off to The Vic. You can see we are back in The Prem, I have had no end of people asking for tickets/lifts/sign in at the West Herts this week...oh well, much to be expected. COYH
I was at the British beer festival on Thursday and they had photographs of the festival's from the west herts events - remember them well!
Morning all from a cooler overcast part of the country. The weekend was pretty frantic with the huge annual fete Saturday and my Sunday dinner with the football friends yesterday. Still I did manage to watch and listen to the game even if I missed out on MOTD. Superb band at the open air show really lit the evening up until the fireworks began. One of my daughters with family is heading in our direction having managed to get the motor home through the Channel Tunnel without problems, then my son with his lot flies into Limoges on Thursday. Last year none of them headed here, but to get eight all at one time is a bit much. Meanwhile I have to lay a floor with it's boards for daughter who lives in France and continue with Mme's path relaying. Since the rain on Friday all the grass has started to grow again and now needs a cut. Where shall I start? Thank you for the coffee ak, I will sit and think about the jobs.
Sæl öll. Tea and coffee, donuts and fruit are on the bar. Half and half coffee for Brian Fuel here is ISK215.5 for 95okt and ISK196.3 for diesel. This translates to GBP1.04 and GBP0.94. All I think is the government has less taxes on fuel here as getting oil to Ísland and the quantity must give a higher cost than for England.
Unless I have missed something but why is our Soton match on Sunday at 4pm? As far as I am aware it's not being televised.
That explains the move to a Sunday but not the 4 pm kick off. Usually they play at 2 or 3. Ah well - it is what it is.
It's probably been carefully calculated so that Soton fans will not be able to get a train home after the game.mthats the sort of thing the twats that run football in this country do.
Morning all, lovely sunny morning without being too hot. The invading hoard of family are getting nearer and food stocks are being increased. Putting some bottles of decent wine out of sight, the normal ones are quite drinkable.
