Autumn arrives with a vengeance here. It is cold, wet and windy in Christchurch.

We had another demonstration against stopping talking with the EU about joining. The organiser said 8.000 people attended. To me these people are wanting to kill the nation and our fishing industry.

Afternoon all from a sunny Jersey. The main road between St Helier and the west of the island was closed this morning due to the sea having gone over the walls and flooding the road overnight, with the predictable chaos on the roads.

Had an e-mail from my friend in IoM last night, and the contents were a bit of a surprise as he asked me if I wanted to be his best man next year. When he told me at Christmas he was getting married, I thought that I wouldn't be asked and that he would choose someone who lived there, maybe someone who is a fellow marshal for the TT. I haven't given him my answer yet.

Afternoon all, I said that I wouldn't be around for the game Saturday, but even if I had been at home I couldn't have listened in as my internet and phone connection had gone missing, and was only returned to me this afternoon. To try and follow the text from the Beeb on a mobile phone is not fun or very up to date. Still when we went 3-0 ahead I did feel more relaxed.

Better collect the coffees that ak provided and stick them in the microwave. ;)

    Have a good week y'all.

Hope it isn't our last as WW3 is very, very, very gently simmering...

Goodness me, who is Mexico considering taking on? If the UK decided to freeze the assets of Russians, Chelsea could be in a bit of a pickle.

Do I guess correctly that you will be having a whip round Mex for your friend Carlos Slim seeing as he is not as rich as he once was? ;)

His fall from the top of the richest persons league table comes suspiciously after the capture of a certain Joaquin Guzman. :emoticon-0112-wonde

Gales here, in Christchurch. Our trampoline has arrived in a neighbours drive about 50m away. I've just watched some of our guttering disappear towards the north. The windows look as if they could blow in at any moment. Fortunately we have power, which we got back about an hour and a half ago.

I hear that the winds are heading up your way, Kiwi.

I am late today. I am adjusting some coolant pipes and that is getting confusing. Still snow on the ground but the airport is clear and the rain we have will help clean the snow away.
