Morning all from a cloudy St. Helier. As it's been there for 2 weeks without anyone attempting it, I've tried to answer the question OFH last put on the Pub Quiz Thread.
Morning all from a bright and breezy rural France. Rain is forecast for this evening and I am keeping my fingers crossed that for once the Meteo has got it right.
I like all three of our new kits, the home kit and the away kit have sold more than any previous new kits, so I'm not alone on the first two. The third kit has been described by the club as "like Marmite" I love it, a lot of people don't, but it has definitely raised the profile of "Little Old Norwich!" Job done, I'd say!
The Wolf does write well, and here is another one of his blogs. http://inthewolfsmouth.com/2015/07/28/too-many-man-has-summer-recruitment-gone-too-far/
Thought-provoking. I find it nigh impossible to judge how well we'll adapt to the Premiership. No question some reinforcements were necessary but how swiftly the new faces blend into a team is going to be very important.
I think we now have strength in depth which we didn't really have last season... certainly not in terms of having gone up now. Hopefully the spine will continue: Gomes - Angella / Cathcart - Abdi - Deeney and then build the team around it, rotating regularly. Get all the players playing to the systems and then tweak the line up accordingly - that's how SJ got us up and I would expect QSF to continue in that vein. Whereas the last time we got promoted to the Premier League we were buying in players from Poundland. More recently we've been getting the Aldi and Lidl players with excellent value for money. This summer we've done our shopping in Waitrose. We're never likely to shop at Harrods or Fortnum & Mason but frankly, do we want to?
Oh joy, we had a little rain overnight, meaning I do not need to draw on my dwindling water resources. It doesn't look as if there was a downpour, more of a heavy drizzle. The forecasters are not suggesting there will be more, in fact by the weekend sun and heat will return. Saturday we will be having a village beanfeast. The last one started at midday and finished sometime after midnight. I don't remember eating much on the following day.
Morning all Breezy but bright this morning. Mrs H and I are off for a free lunch at Rick Steins in Winchester shortly. We complained about the service on our first visit, not long after the place opened, and this is the result! I'm sure they'll all be on their best behaviour this time...
I am glad you had a damper after our visit Frenchie Greetings all... back after a good trip to our vineyard... car well stocked as usual Good to share some catch-up time with Frenchie too
Glad you made it back in one piece Yorkie. Think I might retire to my sports lounge and have a glass or two after a session in the nettles and brambles.
