Morning all - did anyone else 'suffer' from solar flares last night? Totally disrupted TV/Internet/phone reception here, so didn't find out the result until well after. <grr>

Championship table is looking interesting - and suggests a mouth-watering clash on Easter Monday, probably a sell-out.

Why can these people not let joining the EU die?
    http://www.mbl.is/english/politics_and_society/2015/03/18/eu_referendum_on_the_cards/

The text says the EU has not removed us from the list of nations wishing to join, so I think we will be joined to the EU by the EU and have no say, The ESB will not tell us to go and vote again the correct way, we will not have the choice. When the government told EU we were stopping they said no you are not!

The Islamic State have hacked the njala.is website. Njala is the Holsvöllur history museum website.

98% solar eclipse and I was in a meeting so missed.

The museum is for Brennu-Njáls saga. Would IS have better luck looking in Brighton?

We were eclipse-less at 9.25am...just slightly gloomier for a few minutes. It's a long wait for the next one. Shops that stocked up with special eclipse viewers may have trouble shifting them...

Last week I was going through a box of papers that had come with us from the UK to France. The box had a label attached to it suggesting that there were things in there that were important. Going through mortgage papers, sale documents etc I came across a Watford programme. It was our first ever game in the top division of the football league, and had a picture of a very youthful Graham Taylor in it. There was a great deal of excitement that we had made it, yet for some reason the chance to play at the top table no longer seems so vital. Yes, I would like the Pozzos to be able to get back some of their money that they have invested, but do I want to be unsure when a game is going to be played over a weekend, do I want to have to take out a mortgage to watch my team away from home, or do I want my team to spend the whole season struggling to move out of the bottom three? Not sure! The Championship is great when you get a season like this one, and perhaps I will have more expectation if we do not go up.
