No such plan, leo - we simply want to dominate our own country. And the plan is ticking along quite nicely too...

No clouds and no celcius either. A bad day evening in Plzen, how is that said, wher Jón Daðis goal gave the win to Daniel Pudils team. Luckily Matěj Vydra was a substitute and did not play.
Evening all, a busy day here and it stayed dry apart from a five minute shower. More cranes passed over, but I think that they are coming in small groups rather than the mass migration we sometimes witness. There are still plenty of summer bedding plants in flower, as so far there have been no frosts. Mme's greenhouse is still producing cucumbers, although my outdoor ones are now finished. Sooner or later it will change and the woodburner will be pressed into action, but I am in no rush to start feeding it.
Seeing as I am in French mode this morning with my lesson to come, thought I would give you the news that one of Napoleon's famous two-pointed hats was bought by a South Korean collector for 1.8 million euros. Made by French hatmakers Poupard, Napoleon wore them sideways -- rather than with points at the front and back -- so he could be easily spotted on the battlefield. The bicorne hat, meaning two horizonal points, was a variation on the tricorne -- or three-pointed hat -- which was popular in the 17th century and favoured by American colonists around the time of the American revolution. Two hundred years after his reign, Napoleon remains a deeply popular historical figure. The main French association in his memory currently has around 4,000 members. So there you go. Enjoy your day.

We are a nation of very large mouses. Most of this is skyr, a soft cheese most people think is yogurt. There are nearly 100 types of cheese. I like höfðingi which is a soft creamy cheese and mysuostur a brown cheese. I do like Stilton from England and Bleu de Bresse as well.
Mrs H is responsible for half the cheese eaten in Britain. I keep threatening to buy a lockable cheese safe.
Brought over from Pub Quiz Thread: Hello ofh, Whistle-blowing took place and was pretty scary - took the whole meeting by surprise - the world fell through her ar$⬠when I called her bluff. Chair said would have to be investigated separately. Result of tribunal complicated but it appears to have gone in our favour, so far. Very, very surprised, but happy bunny - Easter's back on!
