The Central Bank of Iceland (Seðlabanki Íslands) has decided that they will keep interest rates the same. Between 5 and 7% for different accounts. This is because inflating is below their target for eight months, now 1.8%

Dark today, no snow yesterday. Near 5C.

Afternoon all from Jersey. One of my old classmates this morning put forward on Facebook the idea that my school year should have a reunion - it's 4 years since the last one after having had them in successive years. By the time I left for work this morning, about 15 people had already said yes. Someone suggested having it in the spring. If it is, I hope it's the same weekend as a home game!

Hi All, am still here. Being retired I now don't have time at work to post too much but look in regularly.

Greetings to our newbies.

Thanks for all the lattes AK.

In brief around the end of August went down to Kent for Sis in Laws 70th and had a few days in Alnwick/Lindisfarne on the way. A few days later back down south again to cross over to France for a tour around Normandy & Brittany avec new tent. (Your recommendations OFH have been noted for a future visit - wanted to keep the driving down this time). Spent a glorious 20 days in various parts, only rained the last 2 days and not much. Daily visits to the local patisserie were in order and sampled all the other local treats - Moules, Cidre, Brittany biscuits, crepes, galettes etc etc. Amazingly lost a few pounds! Tent a success.

Started back at the gym this week to get fit for skiing, we are going to Kaprun in November on an all terrain ski training course - daft or what?

First serious rain today, been a great summer up here really.

Hope all are well?

Cheers, Scully.

Glad you had such a good time Scully. Weather here today has been glorious, but rain forecast tomorrow. Temperatures are likely to remain around 25°C next week, but it is clear that the days are getting shorter. We did notice last week how much further autumn has progressed in the south of England compared to here.
