Today's defeat by Millwall was the end of an awful week for me. Spent the week in bed after collapsing again last Sunday - had a home visit from a nurse on Tuesday for blood and urine samples, then a surprise visit yesterday from our GP to tell me that I have a heart problem which needs to be investigated in Aberdeen.
I'm thinking of giving up watching the stress-inducing football we've been playing for the rest of the season.

L cannot think what frustration you are feeling BB as it has not been sorted yet. Fingers crossed they can see from the tests what the problem is and can solve it for you.

Same for you Yorkie - I hope everything can be sorted.
The list of things that can and do go wrong as our bodies age seems to be endless - with me, it's been a case one thing after another for about three years now. My poor wife retired just before Xmas, looking forward to putting her feet up - unfortunately she is now run off them looking after me.

5:30 am this Monday I was taking washing off the line while the boiler heated before going to work and well, the plastic stool flew away and stacked it like a big fat muppet and broke two ribs.

Hurst to hell and can't reax or sleep.

Has anyone broken a rib? How long does it take to heal? Any tips to sleep?

I can't fart, sleep or sneeze without pain, and these were my only strengths.

I haven't broken any ribs but I once had a badly bruised rib cage caused by may seat belt when I drove off a cliff.
I can't remember how long it took to repair but the constant pain disappeared after a couple of days. It hurt to laugh for a while, though.
I was told that there was not a lot of difference between severe bruising and a break (as long as the break doesn't damage a lung) but I don't know if that is true.

Oh dear Mex, you seem to be injury prone. I hope the pain soon eases off. I am told that a bag of frozen peas in a tea towel laid on the painful area can help.

    Women!! ☹️

A loose wire in the cable for my laptop's mouse meant I've been unable to use the laptop since Thursday.

Yesterday a new laptop I had ordered for my wife on Monday arrived and after setting it up for her I asked her to go online and order me a new mouse from Amazon - which she dutifully did. She was even proud of herself for paying for next day (today) delivery.

Still confined to bed, and with her out shopping all afternoon, I missed the chance to ask her if it had been delivered yet. She came home about 20 minutes ago and brought me up a cup of tea - and handed me a parcel saying "This arrived for you this morning." - in it, of course, was my new mouse.

She couldn't understand why my thanks was muted...

Spring flowers in the garden, blossom on the trees, and the verges at the sides of the road turning yellow with cowslips. So the temperature is 2°C and a covering of snow greeted me when I got up. The weather is going bonkers. :emoticon-0120-doh:

I am not quite sure why the stool flew away with you on it but whatever I hope you repair quickly.
