Morning all. Quite a change in the weather. The glorious sunshine has disappeared, and showers are expected this afternoon. Just received a message from my internet provider to say that in the course of the next three weeks I will notice a redesign of the e-mail pages . They tell me I am certain to find it great to use. How do they know? Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Overcast but dry at the moment, but not likely to stay that way says the météo. Cut all of the grass at my end of the village yesterday. Needed the strimmer over some of it before the mower would cope with it. The three roads into here are now looking tidy and well cared for. As the cowslips are in flower along the grass verges it looks good, except for the entrance to the farm. Mud brought out all over the road makes car cleaning a bit of a wasted effort. Visit the supermarket car park and you can see which cars live in the town and which ones the country. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Sunshine and showers forecast throughout the day, but what will be in those showers? The weather warnings have the two departments adjacent to me on orange alert for snow and icy roads, but no problems expected here. I do wonder sometimes how the boundaries were first drawn. A river is obvious, but could a green lane between two villages be one? Seemingly so if you look at some of the old maps. In the past landowners could set their own, but that disappeared once the state started to organise such matters. It has produced some strange results, with a local village split between two departments and farmers have fields that fall in two, and the taxmen argue about which has the right to receive their dues. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Below zero up here - typical on the very day that power prices rise by 54%. My inner conspiracy theorist wonders if the 'elite' have mastered some form of climate control...

Morning all. Certainly very chilly here too. No snow, but we did have twenty minutes of hail yesterday before it turned to rain. I just about managed to get the fleece over the cherry trees to prevent the blossom getting knocked off when the hail stopped. Must go back and make a better job of it as the météo say that we will have the next three nights with sub-zero temperatures. I can see the wood burner being pressed into action again. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. A sunny day is forecast, but there is a very cold wind from the north. Yesterday the météo changed their mind and said we would see some snow. They were right as in the afternoon we had some very heavy showers. The barn roofs, hedgerows and grass verges all turned white as it settled on them, but there was still some heat in the tarmac road, so that just became wet. The remains of it on the cars are melting away now that the sun has crept around the corner of the house across the road. I think that it is a stay inside and keep warm day ahead. Enjoy your day if possible. <ok>

Morning all. Bright mainly, but only 3°C when I went outside. Just nodding off last night when an occasional bleeping sound came from the smoke alarm to say that the battery was running out. Listened for a few minutes, decided it was slowing down, so would soon stop, so passed out. Mme however found it was keeping her awake, so went to take the battery out. She realised that she didn't know how it was fixed as there were no screws to see. She was just about to wake me when she felt it move, so with some more twisting it came apart. New battery now that should last until 2026 at least as the last one had a best before date of 2020 on it. By the time this one runs out we will have forgotten how to take it apart again. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. A frost overnight and in some parts of the country it was very cold. On my way to town, looking across the countryside, I can see the two cooling towers at the nuclear power station about twenty miles away. Since the start of the year no steam has been coming out of them, suggesting they are not working. Yesterday I came across a message from EDF asking people to cut back on their electrical use where possible today as there are a number of power stations out of commission. Delving a little deeper I find that the one I can see is not working due to safety inspections that have discovered some pipe welding that needs beefing up. I have reduced the number of times I have boiled the kettle and hope that helps. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Overcast and dreary if a little warmer here. A lot of heavy military transport aircraft are flying low again. You can hear them rumbling towards us and then en-route to wherever they are going for some time. The sound is similar to the farm moving their heavy trailers, but goes on longer. I noticed yesterday that the recently resurfaced lane now has signs up to say that the road is bumpy. Sure enough there is a large depression that will have been created by a heavy tractor and trailer. Maybe we need to get the Romans back to show us how to lay proper foundations for a road. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

I am going to.miss the next 2 games due to Easter. Given that I have also missed our last two wins maybe just maybe our season can get slightly back on track.

Off to the hills, no signal there. Rural Mexico awaits for a week and a bit, to live village life to the max.

Take care all. I demand 6 points upon my return.

Morning all. It has turned very mild again, but is grey and damp. Having to go to England after two and a half years, I need to sort out my satnav as it doesn't show the UK anymore due to the amount of information it holds on north west Europe. The speedo in the car doesn't have miles per hour on it, so I rely on the satnav to tell me if I am in danger of picking up a speeding ticket. It also tells me where the speed cameras are, something that is banned in France. It describes them as areas of danger here, which is the same thing really, but sidesteps the law. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Morning all. Wet and windy here today, and got soaked at the bread dispenser. The wind has moved the fleece that we put over the cherry trees, but appears to have done its job as all the blossoms are still on them. Last year we had no cherries as the blossom was blown off before anything could set, so hoping for better luck this year. Have a good day everyone. <ok>

Not until the 26th, and then back again on the 1st May. Quite long enough. Watching Burnley last night I think has made up my mind about going to see the game. I will not bother.
