Ferrari are serial under performers. That's not to say they do badly, but given their advantages and general financial spend they should do better.
Interesting chat on Sky about Lewis's gearbox. They say it was a Friday practice gearbox he destroyed which is logical as this is 7th race and they have 3 gearboxes per season penalty free. The interesting bit is that they said they tried to get another 'friday practice' gearbox in the car yesterday to get him back out but didn't have time. So how, at race 7, they have 2 'friday practice' gearboxes plus the new one? Surely they should only have 1 friday gearbox and 2 new ones?
Ferrari looking quick in FP3 but we know magic mode in Q3 will give Merc a chance. Still lots of improvement in them all as they’re half a second off last years pole.
Quite! I reckon it is Sky rubbish commentary although I am playing catch up, thought he escaped damaging the gearbox yesterday. I reckon pole will be 1.101 or thereabouts but we will find out soon.
Actually looks like qualifying might be quite tasty, so I’m getting ready to be thoroughly disappointed.
Fed up with Channel 4 commentary, going to a sports bar to watch it live tomorrow. Hopefully might be a bit of an atmosphere in the bar too.
I know it is not great, I used to watch via SkyGo. With luck the other viewers in the bar will provide more interesting comment.
Seems like former Force India are still playing catch up after having so little funds to develop the 2019 car during the 2018 season. Hopefully they are sort of writing this season off to come back better next year. OK so Stroll isn't greatest driver but he is getting closer to Perez.
Whilst he won’t want to be P11, at least he can start on mediums and have the right strategy. McLaren have done a stellar job this weekend but they have the wrong tyres tomorrow based on what they chose.
We might have an interesting race here. Lewis not on pole and no backup from Bottas. Riccy 4th, LeClerc 3rd and Vettel on pole!!! I think Lewis messed up the last sector as he was on purple Sector 1 & 2
Well, well, well. Awesome from Vettel and Dani Ric. Not sure what happened with Charlie, but he’ll take third.
