just a few quick pickup's The western world is not bombing everything and anything ..look to the east or to ASSAD regime. they have a pretext that they are doing as the west they are not! although a bit sharp, maybe would not use the same words though ... I would tend to agree Red Hubs comments are a bit off the mark ( note your comment wiz ) Mostly migrants I would agree with, the numbers of refugee's are way, way less than the opportunists whom I think the world or Eurozone owe them something .. disturbing is the comments tonight that they are being stirred up by "British troublemakers" absolutely, £26,000 how many people on here earn that much? Well that is what the average payout to these people and other scroungers are likely to receive add in or top with the hundred or so pound they earn daily squirting water onto a windscreen for a pound a go... in London I was at a set of lights and 6 pairs of eyes worked in pairs cleaned/ were cleaning 4 cars in east to west and north to south and 2 so 6 cars every 3 mins? 6 x 20 ( 3 min periods ) = £120, in 3 hours = £360 and we have people on the streets, jobless and homeless on less than £60 a week? Also pensioners trying to scrape by on less than £600 a month (single). CANCER this present day scenario is 100x worse than that
If what you say is true, then its you who turned the conversation on its head. We are talking about migrants not refugees.. you have your own agenda and you always twist it around to fit your own opinion. The point I made about the homeless and old is so that you might stop and think of your own maybe, just for once. (or maybe not)
Asylum seekers make up a large proportion of the migrants. And think about everyone, I have never said that we shouldn't be helping the elderly of homeless.
You may get your wish one day. I hope I'm around to see the bitter regret that will swell over you with the realisation of the reality of what you will have helped to bring about. I find your callous disregard for government funds that so far you haven't contributed anything to, distasteful. Another young kid who thinks money grows on trees and everyone can just have what they want, whenever they want it. typical socialist with seemingly no sense of the consequences. Me, I'm only interested in looking after my own and protecting my own kids future.. You can call me selfish if you like but I'm tired of paying for worthless wasters.
I watched the pictures and thought why on earth would anyone want to let people behaving in that way into their country This was young men - not family's The policy of taking family's into this country from the camps in Syria etc has to be the right one
Leave them alone to sort themselves out, and in the meantime get all westerners well away from the region. Any non Islamic country setting themselves up as the world's police should bring home their military forces and cancel any support, unless it is humanitarian intervention to aid those non-fighters in desperate need. It's time to stand up and be counted when it comes to how we deal with people who have no intention of stopping the fighting and will never listen to reason because their hatred of everyone is firmly entrenched in their religious beliefs. When, and only when, they show a consistent desire to resolve their own unique problems and put aside all the hatred that has been generated over the centuries would I want to see any further involvement by the western countries.
If these people are 'refugees' why don't they seek 'refuge' in the country they are in? France is a western country who until recently (when they were kicked in the bollocks by those they welcomed.) were very tolerant of other cultures, there is a very north African feel about southern France and 'refugees' who are 'running with there families for their lives would be safe there.. No, lets make it to mug land.. they have mugs there who give everything to anyone who wants it.
This to me shows how relatively well off we (the UK) are in terms of the effects of migration and asylum seeking when compared with other EU countries. Our black economy rate is also one of the best in the EU. There seems to be a "patriotic" view that we are worse affected than everyone else by immigration , that is simply not the case. Having said that this a truly a problem rising to epidemic proportions which needs a political solution.
I'm not going to criticise MTG's opinions - he is entitled to them and I am sure they are founded on good intent. However, I would point out the trouble that Germany is now suffering as a result of open borders. We do not want that here - we have enough trouble with law and order as it is. To use some very wise and powerful words from a recent speech by the great socialist icon Hilary Benn (Labour leader in waiting for me), during the 'should we bomb ISIS? debate'; 'they hold our principles IN CONTEMPT.....' For those who didn't see it, it's probably the best speech I have seen in the House of Commons for a very long time - very rousing: http://www.theguardian.com/politics...ote-speech-full-must-confront-isis-evil-video Of course, not all of them do - not all of those people in Calais are ISIS sympathisers, but opening our borders is NOT the answer (as Germany is now finding out), and neither is sitting behind our English Channel and classifying it as someone else's problem. It's a WORLD problem and we need to fix the problem at source, so that they can go back to their homes.
It has already begun to bite the countries who were sympathetic enough to take people in from North Africa and allow them to settle in the first place and this culture and behaviour clashes will continue. Unfortunately, even the hoped and eventual eradication of IS will not see the migrants go home to where they came from. They know it's a far easier life in Europe, even if it has to be in France. There are scores of under populated countries where these people would be safe, but the majority of them believe they are entitled to everything for free and they wont get that in South Africa or Argentina or wherever, that's where fundamentally it's all wrong. Their own beliefs in what they are entitled to for starters. MAKE those young men in The Jungle do some worthwhile work in return for shelter and food - that's what we do in a sense. They're fit enough to run after lorries, throw stones at Police, and attempt to walk through the Channel Tunnel so they can't claim they're not capable ! And let's face it, they have absolutely nothing better to do, and plenty of time to do it !!
I agree that its probably through good intent, but they just do not seem to realise the consequences that this is all bringing on top of us. sometimes I wonder if its a complete lack of common sense or just basic intelligence or, even, if there is another agenda?
The French Police should start shooting anyone attempting to board or interfere with lorries, cross channel ferries, trains or anyone attempting to gain access to the Channel Tunnel. It would surely be deemed a serious offence here and could even be carried out under the counter terrorism law ? That would be a reasonable deterrent that the rest of them might even take some notice of. If the remainder carry on doing it, then keep shooting until there are none left. Problem goes away.
I am sorry Angelic but how any reasonable person can make such a statement is beyond me. Violence simply breeds more violence. You clearly believe we have a problem about which you have a definite view but it reminds me of the ISIS mentality i.e. if we don't like 'em just shoot 'em. All of this problem goes back to the Middle East and religion and as has often been said needs a world wide solution.
So do we wait for a British (or any other nationality) trucker/ferry worker/rail employee to be killed by these people before any action is taken, because as sure as eggs is eggs, it will happen, and when it does, I guarantee the families of the person(s) killed would wish that something had been done and that prevention had been put in place instead of people pandering to them. These are not reasonable people we are dealing with here, but don't say they're starving either, because they're not. They largely belong to a mob culture who think they can do as they please, and frankly, those of them who want to behave like that should be dealt with effectively before things get out of hand.
Agree things are getting out of hand, but there are BRITISH anarchists/protesters/activists (call it what you will) there amongst the migrants inciting violence too - I would like to see them punished severely.
