Think it can be as cheap or expensive as you want to make it mate. A few my mates down here have got boats, most of them are small cabin over boats (**** knows what they are called) with a small outboard on the back, that they keep on a trailer when it's not in the water (no mooring fees) My only experience with owning a boat was short lived. I bought a rowing tender to mess about on a river with. Paid £50 for it and didn't realise how badly ****ed it was. First time I took it out the ****er sank. End of my boating days that.
Mrs luv wants one of these motorhome things, can't be arsed with it myself. I prefer a hotel and room service.
Today I'm going on a community event for work where I will be walking dogs from a local Dogs Trust type place, I'm such a good person. So let's take another look at that. Today I'm going on a community event for work so that I don't have to turn up until 10 get given a free lunch and go to the pub at 4. I'm a bad man.
They're good but they aren't 40 grand good. Loads of people have them round where I live, I'm sure it's a contractual obligation in a couple of the nearby villages. They all drive round looking terribly self important in their compleltely superfluous and unnecessary vans when a car would suffice. There are one or two pay the extra twenty grand so they can have a bed in it but not many. They're a waste of time unless they're used for purpose and the large %age of people don't use them for that.
Yeah they are ****ing expensive for what they are. I just need a van with a good load space, some seats in the back and something I can turn into a bed for when I need to stay overnight at events and festivals.
Mazda Bongo?? The T5 is perfect for what you want but they're crazy money. Known as the Pennardmobile round these parts. One mate of mine has the California and actually uses it for his holidays and then there's another bloke/family who I know who always end up in the same place as us in Biarritz in summer who has the full conversion. £70k worth or something. Rich **** though, developed some estate agency software that made him millions, so can no doubt afford the thing! They're mostly used to be seen in round here though. Not gonna lie, I considered one as I have three kids and sometimes also have three dogs but I went for the estate car instead. One of the reasons ruled it out was because of the twats who drive them round these parts.
Motor homes are for people who drive to their holiday, I can't imagine anything worse. Arguing with the wife for 17 hours to turn up in some Spanish village and sit in a field eating chorizo. ****ting in some communal dunny and finally listening to HIAG strum his acoustic guitar over a can of warm Carling while you're trying to commit suicide.
Can't think of anything worse than sharing airports and aeroplanes with fellow brits myself but each to their own I suppose. Never seen Carling sold in Spain either.
Nah, I just think you've been to the wrong parts of Spain if where you go people drink Carling. You should maybe get away from scrotesville and other Brits, it's very nice. I'd rather hang myself than share a plane with other British holiday makers.
FFS Chief HIAG posted a pic of himself drinking Carling yesterday... no need to interrogate every aspect of the post. Don't worry I won't soil the image of your fairytale holidays in Spain anymore.
I’m definitley one for jetting off to places off the beaten track places for holidays, but I don’t mind doing a couple of nights in a van somewhere either. Used to live in one when I was a pikey crusty so van life can be fun. The one I need is primarily for my business though and lugging surfboards, kids, dog etc around. Just chatting to a mate who might be selling hers, needs a few bits n bobs, new window motor, central locking needs fixing. On an 04 plate shuttle bus. £3k. Could be just what I need.
